How to get a clipboard history in Chrome
You copied it an hour ago and it is gone. Chrome itself keeps no history of what you copy, so the answer depends on your operating system. Here is what is already built in.
The manual way, no extension needed
On Windows, press Win+V and turn on clipboard history when prompted. It works in every app, Chrome included.
On a Chromebook, press Launcher+V (the Everything key and V) for the same thing.
On a Mac, there is nothing to turn on. macOS keeps exactly one clipboard entry and no history.
The catch: the Windows history holds around 25 items, clears on restart unless you pin entries, and has no search. The Mac has no built-in history at all. And the OS lists record everything you copy in every app, passwords included, with no filtering.
The one-click version
